Dinner on March 27th

Please let everyone know that there will be no spring reunion. However, we will charter the Knights of St Andrew by putting on the 29th degree and have dinner on Saturday the 27th. I need to get the charter members as a minimum to attend and that is all black hats we know. We will bring it up Thursday and try and get a head count for Steve for dinner. Remember Steve Songer puts on the Remembrance and Renewal ceremony at the 11 March meeting. We will have hors d’ ouvres at 6:30 pm followed by the ceremony at 7:30. Be there or be square as they say. Looking forward to it. THIS IS A PUBLIC CEREMONY SO BRING WIVES and FRIENDS hfm John Harris VMK

Brent Morris Visit - Date Change

Brothers, I'm not sure how many of you were planning on attending this event. Just want to give you a heads up of the date change. S & F, Arvid B.

Subject: Re: Brent Morris visit
Hugh, Jim: I've just got done emailing Brent Morris this morning and there is a minor scheduling change.
Brent
was scheduled to come on June 21, 2010 to Emporia Lodge for our event. That event is now moved to Monday, JUNE 7, 2010 at Emporia Lodge. I trust this does not inconvenience anyone. Could I ask that you forward this to the other valleys? I seem to have lost the email address for the other fellows.
Thanks in advance,
Mike Halleran

Survey - Request from Ill. Hugh Gill

Brethren -

Am exploring the level of interest of an educational publication.  Articles would fit somewhere between the SR Journal and Heredom.  Authors would come from any part of the country.

Please distribute this email with survey link throughout your data base.

Thanks,
Hugh

Brethren all -  Here is the link to the Kansas Scottish Rite Publications Survey.

I am not certain how to make this link avail to all AASR members in Kansas - can anyone advise?

Fraternally,
Mike Halleran

Newest Master Craftsman

Congratulations to Bro. Herb Merrick, 32° KCCH, who completed the Scottish Rite Master Craftsman curriculum.  For details how you can obtain this course toward further light, click on the Master Craftsman button to the left.

Knights of Saint Andrew club forming
This is a club within the Scottish Rite run by "black hats" for the newer Scottish Rite Masons.  If you're interested in being part of this special group, contact Bro. Herb Merrick for additional details.  this is a fun, informal club that some brothers want to form, if there is enough interest.  Wichita has a KSA group.  Click the symbol to the left to see more information.  Richmond, Virginia also has a good page about Knights of Saint Andrew.

2009-2010 Officers Elected/Appointed

Brothers all:
On June 11, 2009 the membership elected the following officers for 2008-2009:
Vic Henke, Master of Kadosh
Steve Kempf Commander, Council of Kadosh
Warren Fontenot Wise Master, Chapter of Rose Criox
John Harris Venerable Master Lodge of Perfection
Mike Tavares Treasurer
Brian Wilson Senior Warden
Nate Finney Junior Warden

Brothers Henke and Harris are trying to establish a Chapter of the Knights of St Andrew at Fort Leavenworth. We hope to have a Chapter established by early fall. We will be dark for the summer, but perhaps there will be an organizational meeting or two to establish the Knights Chapter.

Fraternally,
Arvid B.
